Voice AI works right up until it doesn't. Half a second of dead air, a bot that talks over the customer, an agent that can't handle being interrupted — and the illusion breaks. That's the war. Latency Wars is a team buildathon where you ship real voice agents on Persistence's newly launched web app. Not a sandbox — the full product, the same one teams are putting into production.

What you'll build: Real use cases from the companies solving this at scale — Acko, Flipkart, UniCards, FirstClub, Rapido, FabHotels and Swish. Claims intake, delivery support, card servicing, hotel bookings, rider ops. Pick a brief, form a team, ship an agent that can hold a live call.

How the day runs: Icebreakers first — come alone, leave with a team. Hours of build time on Persistence, with their engineers on the floor. Live demos, judged on latency, interruption handling and whether it would actually survive a real customer.
