AWS SBG JISU GenAI Sprint 1.0: Online Cloud & AI Hackathon + Finale Showcase
इस इवेंट के बारे में
Welcome to GenAI Sprint 1.0, the flagship online hackathon hosted by AWS Student Builder Group (AWS SBG) at JIS University - Agarpara Campus! Whether you are a complete beginner with zero cloud experience or an experienced developer, this 4-day online build sprint is designed for you to build, innovate, and ship on AWS 100% for free—no AWS bill surprises, and pathways that don't even require a credit card!
Important Hackathon Timeline: Hacking and building starts Sunday, Nov 1, 2026 (online). The final project submission deadline is Wednesday, Nov 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM IST. Evaluation and judging take place Thursday, Nov 5, 2026. The Grand Finale, top demos and winner announcement (this live session) is Friday, Nov 6, 2026, lasting 1.5 hours IST.
Choose Your Track (3 Zero-Cost Pathways!):
Track 1: The "Zero-Account" GenAI Sprint (Powered by Amazon PartyRock). Best for beginners, 1st/2nd-year students and rapid prototypers (no AWS account or credit card required). The challenge: build a functional Generative AI app using Amazon PartyRock (powered by Amazon Bedrock) to solve a campus, education or community problem. Submission: your live PartyRock app link plus a System Architecture Diagram (Draw.io/Excalidraw) showing how your app would scale in production on AWS.
Track 2: "Cloud in a Box" Local Serverless Hack (Powered by LocalStack). Best for backend and DevOps builders (100% offline/local—no credit card required). The challenge: build an event-driven serverless backend (S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS) running locally on your laptop using LocalStack and Docker (free Pro license via GitHub Student Developer Pack). Submission: a GitHub repo with docker-compose.yml / Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/SAM) so judges can spin up your cloud locally in one command.
Track 3: The "Under $1/Month" Serverless FinOps Challenge (AWS Free Plan). Best for full-stack cloud builders with an active AWS Free Tier / Free Plan account. The challenge: build and deploy a live cloud application using strictly Always-Free / Serverless services (AWS Amplify, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito). Submission: a live deployed link plus an AWS Pricing Calculator estimate proving how your architecture costs under $1/month for 1,000 users.
Why Participate? Exciting rewards and prizes for top teams across tracks; official certificates and recognition from AWS SBG at JIS University; portfolio-ready cloud projects to showcase on your GitHub and LinkedIn; and live finalist demos where top teams pitch during the Nov 6 Grand Finale session.
Agenda for Friday, Nov 6 (1.5-Hour Live Finale): 00:00–00:10 Welcome note by host Karan Ray and the AWS SBG JISU Core Team; 00:10–00:55 live 5-minute lightning demos by top shortlisted finalists (Tracks 1, 2 and 3); 00:55–01:10 judge feedback and cloud architecture Q&A; 01:10–01:25 GenAI Sprint 1.0 winner announcements and exciting rewards; 01:25–01:30 group virtual photo, resource teardown reminder and closing note.
