HackMatrix 5.0 is the flagship hackathon of ARTIMAS ’26–’27, bringing together students, developers, designers and innovators to tackle real-world challenges through technology.
The challenge goes beyond simply writing code. Participants are expected to think creatively, build practical solutions, collaborate effectively and explore how AI and ML can be integrated into scalable and meaningful products.

HackMatrix 5.0 is built around real-world problem statements that challenge participants to move from ideation to implementation.
Teams will select a problem statement and develop a solution that addresses the identified problem in a practical, innovative and scalable way.
The challenge covers the complete journey of building a technology solution from understanding the problem and designing the user experience to development, AI/ML integration, GitHub collaboration and building a functional prototype.
The goal is not just to present an idea, but to demonstrate how effectively that idea can be transformed into a solution with real potential for further development and implementation.
HackMatrix is designed for participants who want to go beyond conventional hackathon projects and build solutions that can create meaningful impact.
Throughout the challenge, teams will be encouraged to focus on: real-world problem solving; innovative and scalable ideas; thoughtful UI/UX; effective use of modern technologies; meaningful AI & ML integration; collaborative and consistent development; and building practical, working solutions. The emphasis is on the complete development process — not just the final product.
HackMatrix 5.0 also opens opportunities beyond the competition. Finalist and best-performing teams may get opportunities to pursue internships or internship interview opportunities with event sponsors after the hackathon. This means the work you build at HackMatrix can potentially extend beyond the event and become a stepping stone toward future industry opportunities.
